Doug and John,

Last time I landed at Christmas, the man that runs the airport was not around. Hence the NDB was never turned on (not a problem with GPS onboard), and there was no one to meet us when we landed. Apparently this is not uncommon. We arrived at Christmas early afternoon, but it was nearing sundown when someone finally rode by on a moped. We paid him $5 to go find the customs man and bring the hotel van (a rusty Datsun pickup). If you can't raise them on the radio, I suggest you give the island a nice buzz job to let them know you are there.

Nice people there, and a decent, island style hotel that caters to sport fisherman. I look forward to your pictures of the place.

Since your report mentioned some fuel venting on the left side, I've been wondering if the ferry fuel system is transfering faster to the left side, and if so, are you able to equalize it with the ferry fuel valves.

Seems like transfering fuel every 25 minutes for 15 minutes is a lot of work for you. Do you have enough ferry fuel flow rate to burn the a/c fuel system down a bit farther before transfering?

Have enjoyed your reports. Great pictures. You looked pretty comfy in the Kahala hotel.
