John’s whole local family shows up for our departure from Meadville. After much show and tell (cousin Peggy want to know how variable-pitch propellers work), we depart for Colorado.

Using the ferry system, we could fly nonstop from Pennsylvania to home in California, but this seems unnecessarily grueling so we plan an overnight in the Denver area. This leg to Colorado illustrates the excellent range of the basic (untanked) E90 aircraft. We fly nearly 1200 nautical miles with an average headwind of 25 knots on wing fuel only.
